I wonder why some parents are so terrified of video games. Could ads like the one above have anything to do with it? Hmmm…

I just paid a $25 co-payment for a doctor’s appointment which lasted 10 minutes. It was a check-up for my sprained ankle, which is feeling a lot better. The doctor basically told me that my ankle seems to be a lot better. It’s great to hear some encouragement, but if I wanted to pay $2.50 per minute to have someone say things that make me feel good, I could have stayed home. There’s plenty of phone numbers to call that offer that kind of service.
If that’s not enough evidence, here’s some more.
I just want to quickly clarify something that annoys the crap out of me every time I hear it. If you don’t care about something, and you want to use a cliche to illustrate your lack of concern, that’s fine. But at least use it correctly.
The phrase is “I couldn’t care less,” not “I could care less.” If you could care less, that means you care some arbitrary amount more than none.
That is all.
